Canon Korea (CEO Park Jung-woo, kr.canon), a total imaging solution company, announced the official launch of the 'EOS R6 V', the first full-frame mirrorless camera in the EOS R V series, alongside the 'RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ' standard zoom lens on Friday, June 19.
The EOS R6 V is a video-centric full-frame mirrorless camera that combines outstanding image quality with overwhelming shooting performance. It is equipped with an approximately 32.5-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and the DIGIC X image processor. The camera can record high-definition RAW video up to 7K 60P internally without external storage media. It also supports high-quality 4K video based on 7K oversampling, as well as uncropped 4K 120P and 2K 180P recording.
With 'Open Gate' recording utilizing the full 3:2 sensor area, creators can flexibly crop and reframe footage for various aspect ratios. Additionally, the camera features a built-in internal cooling fan, allowing uninterrupted continuous recording of 4K 120P and 7K Open Gate videos for over 120 minutes without overheating limitations.
Other convenient shooting features include Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3, which deliver up to 15+ stops of dynamic range, and a 5-axis In-Body Image Stabilizer (IBIS) that works in tandem with RF lenses for coordinated control.
Launched alongside the camera, the RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ is the first full-frame RF lens to feature a built-in Power Zoom (PZ) mechanism. Weighing approximately 420g, it features an inner-zoom design that maintains the lens's center of gravity during zoom operations. Covering a range from 20mm ultra-wide to 50mm standard focal lengths with a fixed F4 aperture, it serves as the optimized kit lens for the EOS R6 V.

Brand Short Film
In tandem with the product launch, Canon Korea unveiled a brand short film titled Photo Therapy for You and Me, shot entirely on the EOS R6 V. Set against the backdrop of the cherry blossom season, the film delicately portrays moments of love and heartbreak. It was directed by Choong-yeop Chu, a professor of Broadcasting and Film at Dongseo University and representative of the Film Directors Guild of Korea (CGK), starring actors Min-ki Kim and Se-hwi Shin.
The film has been officially invited to the 'Fantastic Shorts' section of the 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) and will make its world premiere. In addition, the original soundtrack (OST) "Cherry Blossoms Bloomed," sung by lead actress Se-hwi Shin, has been released on major music streaming platforms including YouTube Music, Melon, Genie Music, Bugs, and Flo.
