The biggest strength of the Z1 Pro is undoubtedly its enhanced functionality. Despite its ultra-lightweight build of approximately 136g and a compact size that fits right into a pocket, it fully supports both TTL auto mode—which automatically adjusts flash output—and manual (M) mode ranging from 1/1 to 1/64.
Most notably, it comes equipped with a 1/8000s High-Speed Sync (HSS) feature, allowing photographers to push their creative boundaries. This enables shooting outdoors in broad daylight at maximum aperture to achieve a smooth background blur while keeping the subject perfectly lit. It features a Guide Number of GN12 (at ISO 100) and a color temperature of 6000K (±200K) for consistent lighting. It also supports both front and rear-curtain synchronization, enabling dynamic light-trail effects.
Maximized Convenience with a Touchscreen and USB-C Charging
The user interface (UI) has also evolved for the modern era. The back of the unit features an intuitive touchscreen that allows users to seamlessly adjust settings. This includes quick access to the S1 (normal sync) and S2 (pre-flash cancellation) modes for optical triggering.
Powered by a built-in 3.7V/800mAh lithium-ion battery, it eliminates the hassle of replacing AA batteries. On a full charge, it can fire approximately 350 times at maximum power (1/1) and up to 10,000 times at minimum power.
