ZY Optics, a leader in affordable medium-format optics, announces a new wide-angle and standard prime duo for GFX users ahead of the Beijing P&E Show.
ZY Optics (Zhongyi), the Chinese optical manufacturer, has announced the upcoming release of two new manual focus lenses for the Fujifilm GFX medium format system: the 'PITTURA 30mm F2.4' and the 'PITTURA 45mm F1.4'. These new additions are set to make their official debut at the Beijing P&E (Beijing Photo & Electrical Imaging) Show, held from May 15th to 18th.
■ From Landscapes to Portraits: Expanding the Medium Format Horizon
Both lenses are specifically designed to cover the 44x33mm medium format sensor, offering high-resolution performance.
The 30mm F2.4 provides a wide-angle field of view equivalent to approximately 24mm in 35mm format. With its bright F2.4 aperture, it is ideal for landscape and architectural photography, promising a blend of modern sharpness and the classic, characterful rendering that Zhongyi is known for.
The 45mm F1.4 serves as a standard prime, equivalent to roughly 36mm in 35mm format. Achieving a remarkably fast F1.4 aperture on a medium format sensor, this lens is expected to garner significant interest from portrait and street photographers looking for extreme shallow depth-of-field and creamy bokeh effects.

As part of the 'PITTURA' series, both lenses feature a robust all-metal construction, offering a tactile and premium feel for manual focus enthusiasts. In addition to the Fujifilm G Mount, the lenses are also expected to be available for other systems, including the Pentax 645 mount.
Price points remain highly competitive. The 30mm F2.4 is set at an official launch price of 3,580 RMB (approx. $490 USD), with special promotional pricing available during the initial pre-order period.
