New 30mm f/2.4 and 45mm f/1.4 Expand Lineup with Performance and Value
Zhongyi Optics (ZY Optics), a leading Chinese optical lens manufacturer, is set to officially announce two new manual prime lenses at the 2026 Beijing P&E (Beijing P&E Imaging Show), starting May 15th. The new releases, the 30mm f/2.4 and 45mm f/1.4, will join the "PITTURA" series, a high-performance lineup specifically designed for medium format shooters.
■ A New Wide-Angle Alternative: 30mm f/2.4
The most anticipated release is the 30mm f/2.4, optimized for 44x33mm medium format sensors. Supporting Fujifilm G-mount and Pentax 645 mount natively, this lens is designed to deliver modern sharpness while maintaining a vintage rendering that creates a unique atmosphere. Built with a robust all-metal body, it is priced at approximately 3,580 RMB (approx. $500 USD).

■ Continuing the Speedmaster Legacy: 45mm f/1.4
Launched alongside the wide-angle prime is the 45mm f/1.4. This lens offers a standard field of view on medium format bodies and leverages a bright f/1.4 aperture to produce dramatic background blur (bokeh). It represents a culmination of ZY Optics' technical expertise in designing "ultra-fast" lenses, a reputation earned through their popular Speedmaster series.
[Editor's Note]
"With the 'PITTURA' lineup, ZY Optics is establishing itself as a solid budget-friendly alternative in the medium format market. For GFX users in particular, the 30mm f/2.4 provides a compelling wide-angle option at a fraction of the cost of native glass. If you appreciate the tactile feel of manual focus and a premium all-metal build, this announcement from Beijing P&E is definitely one to watch."
