- Running at Avenuel until July 30… Exploring the Aesthetics of Individuality and Connection Through Detailed Pen and Marker Drawings

Fujifilm Electronic Imaging Korea (hereafter Fujifilm Korea) announced on the 23rd that it is hosting ‘PEOPLE X WAVES’, a solo exhibition by illustrator Night Light, at its Avenuel branch in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Running until July 30, the exhibition showcases 24 illustration works that reflect the artist’s uniquely imaginative worldview. The highlight of this series is the dynamic yet delicate depiction of countless human figures converging to form a single, massive wave.
■ A Landscape of Life Woven with Pens and Markers… 24 Major Works in One Place
The exhibited pieces are all crafted using a highly intricate stippling and detailing technique with pens and markers. From a distance, they appear as serene, undulating blue waves. However, as viewers step closer, a striking twist is revealed: an array of human crowds, each individual possessing a distinct facial expression and moving in their own direction.
Inspired by the "sea"—a lifelong source of deep inspiration for the artist—the exhibition offers a refreshing yet profound visual experience perfectly timed for the height of summer. Notably, it chronicles the artist's creative evolution, spanning from early small-scale $10 \times 10$ works to expanded large-canvas pieces, as well as recent works that showcase shifts in technical approach.
■ Engaging SNS Events Featuring Tickets to the Seoul Illustration Fair
Alongside the artwork, a variety of engaging events are available for visitors. From July 6 to July 30, visitors who follow the official social media accounts of both Fujifilm Korea and the Seoul Illustration Fair (SIF) will be entered into a draw to win weekly admission tickets to the fair.
"From a distance, it looks like a single wave, but up close, it is made up of countless individuals intertwined with one another," said artist Night Light. "I hope viewers experience a sense of inner tranquility the moment they encounter these pieces."
Im Hoon, President of Fujifilm Korea, stated, "We invite everyone to show great interest in Night Light's solo exhibition, which promises to deliver a fresh visual and artistic experience. Moving forward, we will continue to introduce diverse creators and expand our brand experience by bridging photography and art."
[Editor's Note]
"The thrill of experiencing the contrast between the macro view from afar and the micro details up close is profound. This is likely because it mirrors our own lives, where independent individuals gather to create a massive social current—a wave. On a scorching summer day, we highly recommend immersing yourself in this wave of humanity washing over the cool walls of the Avenuel gallery."
