Nikon officially released the latest firmware update (Version 1.81) on the 1st to improve the system stability of its popular APS-C format retro mirrorless camera, the 'Zfc'.
This firmware version 1.81 includes a single fix that addresses monitor display distortion and blank screen issues occurring under specific shooting environments.
According to Nikon's official service notice, a critical error was identified in the previous firmware where the rear LCD monitor would fail to turn on properly and remain blank during certain user operations and screen transitions when the monitor mode was set to [Prioritize viewfinder]. Nikon stated that this 1.81 update completely resolves the issue and further enhances the operational stability of the device.
Nikon Zfc users can apply the latest firmware either by downloading the update file from the official Nikon Download Center website onto a memory card or wirelessly via the dedicated smartphone application.
