Panasonic Korea (Managing Director Kensuke Miyaji) announced on the 29th the release of the 'LUMIX L10 (DC-L10)', a Four Thirds fixed-lens digital camera that delivers both intuitive operation and high image quality to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the LUMIX brand.
Built on the LUMIX philosophy of 'Shaping Emotions - Mushin (無心)', the L10 captures trusted craftsmanship, timeless aesthetics, and cutting-edge imaging technology in a compact body. It also offers a modern design that is highly durable, featuring a saffiano leather-textured finish, a premium metal exterior, and a magnesium alloy front case.
The new product will initially be released in two colors, Black and Silver, with a special edition Titanium Gold color scheduled to hit the Korean market in July. The Titanium Gold model plans to provide a differentiated user experience by offering a dedicated UI that reflects the color concept, a threaded shutter button, and accessories including an automatic opening/closing lens cap.
The body enhances portability with a light weight of approximately 508g(ii) and offers an intuitive layout that can be easily operated with one hand. The intuitive controls and balanced design create an immersive shooting experience, allowing users to capture moments freely without distraction. It is well-suited for snap and street photography, as well as travel and daily records.
In particular, the LUMIX L10 is equipped with the 'LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX 24-75mm'(i) lens supporting an F1.7–2.8 aperture, flexibly responding to various shooting situations such as deep expressions, natural bokeh, and twilight. The precisely machined metal barrel and manual aperture ring further enhance the tactile sensation of control, and the focal length covering wide-angle to short-telephoto flexibly adapts to diverse situations including landscapes, portraits, and snapshots. Additionally, macro shooting is possible as close as 3cm from the wide-angle end, allowing for the delicate expression of subject details.
The camera features a 4/3-inch Back-Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor and the latest image processing engine to achieve an effective resolution of 20.4 million pixels(iii) and natural color reproduction. Furthermore, it incorporates a Dynamic Range Boost function to realize rich gradation expression. By adopting a 'Multi-Aspect Ratio' method where the sensor area is designed with extra margin, users can maintain a similar angle of view intended for composition across 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 ratios(iv).
In addition, 'Phase Hybrid AF' with 779 metering points combined with AI-based subject recognition technology stably tracks dynamic moments, and supports high-speed continuous shooting of up to 30fps based on an electronic shutter. It is also equipped with an OLED viewfinder of approximately 2.36 million dots and a free-angle monitor of approximately 1.84 million dots. Both displays support a UI optimized for vertical shooting, providing a convenient shooting environment even in vertical compositions.
The camera flexibly responds to trendy content creation, such as SNS short-form videos, by supporting the Real-Time LUT function to apply desired colors immediately during shooting, high-speed transfer via the smartphone-dedicated 'LUMIX Lab' app, and the Magic LUT function(v) applied with AI-based color analysis technology.
An official from Panasonic Korea stated, "The LUMIX L10 is a high-end camera that aggregates Panasonic's optical technology and design philosophy accumulated over 25 years," adding, "We plan to sequentially introduce options tailored to user preferences through various color lineups."
Meanwhile, the LUMIX L10 will be released in Black and Silver first, followed by the Titanium Gold color in July. The retail price for the Black and Silver colors is 2,090,000 KRW, and the Titanium Gold is 2,190,000 KRW. It has been launched in Korea from the 29th through Panasonic Korea's online and offline official retailers. In addition, a promotion will be held to present an additional BLK22EB battery to purchasing customers. Detailed inquiries about the product can be made through the Panasonic Korea website (https://www.panasonic.co.kr) or the customer service center (02-1588-8452).
